Pyromellitic Dianhydride (PMDA)
Chemical name: Pyromellitic Dianhydride (PMDA)
Other name: 1,2,4,5-Benzenetetracarboxylic Anhydride
Molecular formula: C10H2O6
Structural formula:
CAS: 89-32-7
Physical and Chemical Properties:
Pyromellitic Dianhydride (PMDA) is white or off-white crystal, melting point is 286.0℃-288.0℃, specific gravity is 1.680. It is dissolved in dimethyl sulphoxide, dimethylformamide, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone and ethyl acetate. It is insoluble in chloroform, ethyl ether and benzene. When exposed to moisture laden air, it can quickly absorb moisture from the air and hydrolyze into pyromellitic acid.
Application:
PMDA is mainly used to make polyimide film and resin, high temperature resistance electric insulating paint, PVC plasticizer, synthetic resin cross-linking agent and epoxy resin curing agent, powder coating matting agent, phthalocyanine blue dye and PET chain extender for food packaging.
Product expatiate:
We have the largest PMDA production lines in China and can provide crystallization PMDA. Well-equipped test and analysis measures guarantee the stable and reliable product quality. We can also control the heavy metal content.
PMDA is produced in several grades in order to meet different market requirements. Currently this product has been sold to Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Europe and the USA.
